We are YSS!
YSS is seeking a Senior Grants Accountant who is accountable analytical and curious by naturesomeone who thrives on both process and problem-solving. This role calls for a professional who brings precision to their work asks thoughtful questions and is driven to find smart compliant solutions that support our mission.
In this key role youll help ensure the financial integrity of our grant and contract fundingtransforming dollars into measurable impact. Your expertise will ensure accurate billing responsible spending and full alignment with funder requirements supporting the success of our programs and the communities we serve.
In this key position youll collaborate closely with Finance Program Leadership and the Grant Writer to:
- Oversee grant and contract billing across multiple program areas
- Monitor spending to ensure alignment with funder guidelines and internal financial controls
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports reconciliations and audit-ready documentation
- Support budget tracking grant close-out processes and ongoing financial compliance
- Help maintain full compliance with federal state and local regulations
- Foster a culture of accountability transparency and alignment with our mission

MUST HAVES - Required Qualifications: You have...
- A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least5yearof accounting experience.
- Experience with grant/contract administration including budgeting compliance monitoring and reporting.
SHOULD HAVES - Preferred Qualifications: You are...
- Proficient in Advanced Excel with the ability to navigate databases and accounting software with ease.
- Exceptionally detail-oriented with a proven track record of meeting high-stakes deadlines.
- Strong and confident in communication able to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Team-oriented and proactive with a passion for collaboration and a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Capable and dependable able to make timely decisions and manage multiple responsibilities especially under pressure.
