Position Title:School Counselor
Qualifications:
- Must possess or be eligible for Connecticut State Department of Education certification for068 (School Counselor).
Terms of Employment:In accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the association and the Board of Education.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively to establish the school counseling program and develop activities and resources to implement and evaluate the program.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to meet the developmental needs of students
- Consult with students parents teachers and other school and community personnel to assist in meeting the needs of students.
- Coordinate counseling services for students and assist with the coordination and implementation of student services in the school.
- Adhere to the ethical standards of the counseling profession and educators code of professional responsibilities.
- Other responsibilities as defined by the building principal or designee.
