The Team:

The EMEA Leveraged Finance team at S&P Global Ratings is comprised of 11 international analysts based in London and Frankfurt. We are recognized for our expertise in leveraged finance private equity and high-yield transactions. Our team valuesquick and robust analytical excellence effective communication and collaboration fostering a dynamic environment that encourages consistent learning innovation and global thinking. As part of this team you will act asa strategic advisorto sector teams on high-profile leveraged buyout and novel transactions manage top sponsor relationships generate impactful research promote the franchise with external stakeholders and drive analytical growth development and excellence across teams. The Impact:

In this role you will offer robust and insightful credit and situational risk analysis that influences rating decisions and key customer relationships. Your contributions will be pivotal in maintaining best-in-class ratings performance providinga customer-at-center analytical experiencefor a sophisticated and demanding client base influencing policymakers and enhancing our standing and reputation in the Leveraged Finance and Private Debt eco-system. Over time you will represent S&P Global Ratings at market events ensuring our insights and analyses resonate with key stakeholders globally. Lastly you will help credit analysts in the team and in the broader analytical practiceflourish and advance their professional development.

Responsibilities:

Key point of contact for analytical interaction with sector teams credit estimates team structured finance (CLOs) research thought leadership and private debt lab
Participate in issuer management meetings sponsor/shareholder meetings and credit committees for leveraged finance and sponsor-backed issuers
Serve as a centre of excellence and referencefor internal stakeholders for non-common equity and complex transactions including restructurings and defaults ensuring analytical consistency and client orientation
Be an active part in building the credit estimates franchise with review establishing regular data collection and publication and guidance training and support for credit analysts
Undertake research and analytical thought leadership pieces collaborating witha rangeof teams including corporate infrastructure structured finance (CLOs) private debt and CCC thought leadership
Initiate and execute market outreach initiatives through publications and webinars to promote S&Ps presence in the leveraged finance space
Provide analytical oversight and assist in process and client management with credit estimates for direct lenders including those for private mid-market CLOs
Promoting analytical excellence across teams by facilitating and sharingbest practicesand examples across the analytical population via lead analyst/senior AD weekly forum AOCC graduate training program and ongoing training across EMEA
Build presence and impact with key external stakeholders including rating advisors sponsors CLO managers and CLO investors

What were looking for:

An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 8-10 years of experience with preferably previous experience working with a bank accounting asset manager with an emphasis on leveraged finance transactions
Strong divergent thinker that thrives on managing multiple workstreams with a clear focus on delivering robust analytical outcomes and customer service excellence and relationship management
Strong background in financial documentation review in private debt hybrid loans and high-yield notes and ability to articulate complex structures clearly
Interest and experience in defaults and restructurings across various jurisdictions
Strong communication and listening skills with a demonstrable record in managing demanding clients and conflict resolution
Ability to work across teams practices and geographies in a collaborative manner with a proven track record of building consensus and engaging internal and external stakeholders
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to articulate complex ideas and negotiate effectively across functions and cultures
Flexible mindset and strong time management skills with the ability to manage complex situations and multiple deliverables with acustomer-centric focus
Commitment todelivering high-quality work and continuous improvement
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing situations. Ability to make informed decisions and adapt
