Within The Global Logistics team provides the center of expertise for Cotys global transport and distribution network. It sets the strategy frameworks guidelines and provides functional expertise in network design across the global supply community and with the logistics community in the regions. It has the responsibility to identify and manage projects that deliver added value to the business in terms of Cost Performance Quality Service Compliance and Sustainability.
The team is ensuring the best service at an optimal cost for all global Air Ocean Road Transport and Warehousing operations together with external logistics service providers. Furthermore it is controlling the global freight budget and providing governance over the Control Tower Operations.
Role
In this role as Freight Audit Specialist you will be accountable for the transport invoices auditing and payment for both Global Transport and Europe Regional scope working with the 3rd party responsible for auditing the invoices. Next to this the role will support the Transport Claims towards carriers.
The role requires carrier management for invoice and payment related issues and the creation of an accurate accrual report all driven with a continuous improvement attitude. Overall making sure Coty compliance standards and Freight Audit KPIs are met.
This is a very dynamic and interactive role where you will collaborate and drive accountability with a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve the result. You will be working very closely with the Global Transport Operations team regional teams for domestic transport the Control Tower Finance and externally with our carriers and provider of Freight Audit services.
Functional
- Understand Global Transport auditing processes and invoice flow
- Make sure all invoices are processed in a timely manner and carriers are paid in time
- Ensure all stakeholders and operations teams are timely informed of any issue that can impact operations and relations with our transport service providers.
- Ensure invoices are moving through the process and take quick action in case there are any issues to avoid late payments
- Make sure Coty carriers are informed of any actions that are pending on them with clear instructions
- Maintain and review accruals ensuring they are correct and investigate/resolve any inconsistencies
- Prepare and present the Freight audit overview to drive Carrier performance in the Monthly reviews
- Ensure Freight Audit Payment & Claims Manager is informed in time of any risks or potential escalations and assist on managing escalations
- Manage and update Freight Audit reports and accuracy
- Onboard new Coty carriers following up the set providing guidance and training

As an experienced Freight Audit Specialist you will add value and feel energized from working in a fast-paced diverse and international environment.
Essential:
- Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
- 13 years of experience in logistics operations Customer Service Finance with link to Accounts Payable or a related administrative role.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel Outlook Word).
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal in English.
- Strong analytical and process skills ability to deliver comprehensive reports.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a multinational or fast-paced logistics environment.
- Basic understanding of international transport modes (road sea air) Incoterms and shipping documentation.
- Familiarity with ERP or transport management systems (e.g. SAP TMS platforms Invoice audit solutions).
- Additional language skills (e.g. Spanish) are a plus.
