About the Role
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join RMITs Materials Modelling and Simulation group to apply classical Molecular Dynamics and Machine Learning approaches for development of a new class of hybrid polyphenol-lipid nanoparticles with tuneable internal structure and exploration of their behaviour in biological environments. This role is part of an ARC funded Discovery project in collaboration with the University of Melbourne and Olivia Newton John Cancer Research Centre providing a great opportunity to translate your computational results to practical design engineering and structural and functional characterisation of the novel nanoparticles for applications in biomedicine.
About You
You will have a PhD and ideally a postdoctoral experience in computational chemistry biophysics or related discipline with the demonstrated ability to develop and pursue innovative computational research for practical applications in biomedicine. Experience in conducting molecular dynamics simulations including free energy calculations and enhanced sampling techniques involving lipid assemblies proteins nucleic acids or other biomolecules is essential. Proficiency in scripting for simulation and data analysis along with experience using high-performance computing environments is required and experience using structure prediction and/or machine learning methods is desirable.
