We are seeking a talented individual to join our Client Onboarding team at Mercer Global Investments. This role will be based in Toronto. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Delegated Solutions specializes in developing and managing multimanager product solutions for clients across a range of asset classes and risk profiles. The Client Onboarding Specialist will work closely with the Manager Client Implementation and Onboarding on transition and onboarding activities related to client assets of defined benefit plans defined contribution plans endowments foundations and nonprofit organizations.
We will count on you to:
- Manage and document the onboarding process to ensure efficiency risk review and continuous improvement including proficiency in transition management securities settlement fund settlement and alternative investment transactions.
- Lead transition and implementation activities for new client onboarding.
- Oversee the implementation of new products including planning approval documentation setup of transfer agents custody trustees and execution of fund launches.
- Coordinate the onboarding of third-party managers including documentation setup with custodians and managers and initial trading.
- Manage Subadvisor changes including documentation coordination and transition activities.
- Maintain client information and deliver ongoing services such as plan mergers dismantling of master trusts plan name changes client billing and documentation.
What you need to have:
- Undergraduate degree in relevant finance economics or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of portfolio management experience focusing on institutional client account maintenance defined contribution platforms and trade order management (securities and funds).
- Experience working with custodians investment managers transition managers insurance companies and transfer agents.
- Strong technical analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel including Macro capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong interpersonal project management and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
