Your role and responsibilities

Working closely with young people families schools and colleges training providers employers and colleagues across the Council you will develop ambitious and effective approaches to supporting young peopleto flourishensuringincreasinglyengaging pathways into adulthoodwhich are supported by highly effectiveplanning.

Your role will involve strategic planning leadership and collaboration across various agencies and stakeholders to create effective pathways and support conjunction with the Senior Education Leaders you willensure that thestrongvisionfor those with SEND in Suffolk isrealised.

Good strong working relationshipsand an ability tofoster and develop effective networks and clear action planswill underpin the work. In addition your role will involve leading on specific aspects of system chairing development groups leading on wider priority areasand service improvement.

You will be based at Endeavour House Russell Road Ipswich and be expected to work from other office bases around the county.

You will need

We are looking for a professional with a proventrack recordas a leader and as a manager of change.

You will:

  • have recent and relevantleadershipexperience within an educationalsettingLocalAuthorityor otherorganisationwithin arelevant role ( service delivery through a voluntary or community setting).
  • experience of Strategic development of multi-agency and multi-professional processes to support children and young people in preparing for adulthood that make best use of resources
  • experience of creating and improving pathways for young people with SEND across the network of education settings employment (paid or voluntary) independent living and social inclusion.
  • the ability to develop implement and evaluate strategic plans and initiatives.
  • haveIn-depth understanding of the Children and Families Act 2014 the SEND Code of Practice and related regulations.
  • be committed to person-centred practice ensuring the needs and aspirations of young people are at the heart of all planning and decision-making
  • be committed to the principles of coproduction
  • bea strong teamplayer with experience and evidence ofpositive and collaborative leadership approaches
