Sonography/Ultrasound Technologist (Permanent Role) Location: College Station TX 77845
Shift: 8 HR Days 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Job Functions: - Perform high-quality ultrasound exams in line with established protocols and standards.
- Ensure exam accuracy by verifying correct patient and procedure.
- Communicate effectively using AIDET (Acknowledge Introduce Duration Explanation and Thank You).
- Provide clear instructions and explanations to patients and families about procedures.
- Assess patients condition and ability to tolerate exam.
- Prep exam area and patients position correctly and use appropriate immobilization and equipment.
- Adjust technical settings to produce optimal imaging.
- Apply infection control safety and sterile techniques.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and operational status of imaging equipment.
- Report technical issues or equipment concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical imaging records per policy.
- Follow internal policies related to PACS EMR modality workflows and data security.
- Assist in inventory and supply management.

- Demonstrate excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
- Handle emergency situations including administering first aid.
- Promote patient satisfaction through timeliness care and courtesy.
- Continuously update knowledge for imaging across all age groups-from newborn to geriatric.
Qualifications: - Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent (minimum)
- Certifications (at least one of the following required):
- ARDMS (OB/GYN Abdomen Breast Musculoskeletal Vascular Technology)
- ARRT (Sonography or Breast Sonography)
- CCI (Registered Vascular Specialist)
- BLS Certification: Must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer
