Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for mechanical Balance of Plant (BOP) commodities to ensure timely cost-effective and high-quality sourcing.
- Manage supplier relationships and conduct negotiations to secure optimal terms on pricing lead time quality and risk.
- Identify qualify and develop vendors for key BOP mechanical components.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering Project Management and Quality teams to align procurement specifications with project needs.
- Track commodity trends cost drivers and risks and proactively suggest mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company s internal standards contract obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate supplier performance using key metrics (quality delivery cost) and implement supplier development initiatives.
- Participate in make-or-buy decisions and cost-saving initiatives.
- Handle RFQs technical-commercial evaluations contract finalization and PO release in SAP (or applicable ERP).
- Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders on material status and risks.
