Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage service team during shifts ensuring efficiency and high standards.
- Oversee guest experience anticipating their needs and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Train new team members in service protocols and hospitality skills.
- Coordinate between kitchen and service staff for timely food and beverage delivery.
- Implement and maintain sanitation and safety regulations.
- Assist in creating and updating the restaurants menu as required.
- Assist with inventory management and control to minimize waste.
- Develop and execute promotional activities to enhance guest engagement.
- Engage with guests to gather feedback and improve service offerings.
- Resolve conflicts and make decisions in the best interest of guests and staff.
- Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss performance and improvement opportunities.
- Manage reservations and optimize seating plans for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the dining area.
- Attend training sessions to stay updated on hospitality trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Proven track record in a supervisory role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Understanding of culinary practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Current Food Handlers Certificate (or ability to obtain one).
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Capability to train and mentor junior staff.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Passion for the hospitality industry.
- Able to adapt to changing situations.
