Job Description

JOB TITLE: Maintenance Supervisor Packaging Facility
Location: 1123 Main St. Frankfort MI 49635
WAGE RANGE: TBD
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager
Job Summary
This position is responsible for the general maintenance of all plant grounds and equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Deliverables:
Ensure adequate staffing scheduling training of maintenance staff as well as establishing maintenance policies and procedures.
Job Duties
  • Schedule direct and coordinate all maintenance activities on equipment and machinery.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance manager to coordinate maintenance needs that may affect production activities report on active projects and project status.
  • Oversee vendors that perform maintenance related activities in the plant.
  • Organize work estimate worker-hour requirements and delegate work assignments to maintenance staff to ensure timely efficient completion of assignments.
  • Works to maintain and improve safe high quality and efficient operations.
  • Foster a well-trained and motivated staff.
  • Recommend personnel actions and administer organizational policies.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety OSHA MIOSHA and Food Safety regulations for the maintenance department.
  • Provide direction motivation development and leadership to maintenance employees.
  • Responsible for the operation inspection and maintenance of ammonia equipment such as pumps condensers compressors evaporators valves purgers and other system components.
  • Responsible for training staff in workplace safety policies and procedures that include but are not limited to LOTO Confined Space and Hot Work.
  • Ability to become HAZWOPER First Aid CPR and AED certified.
  • Other duties / projects as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree with five (5) years experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Food Industry and HAACP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics hydraulics welding electrical electronics and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal computer and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
  • Must be flexible to work varied hours including holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to trouble shoot machinery and repair as needed.
