Job Description

Overview

Salary $46000 year

Provide excellent customer-centered services designed to enhance and re-engage job seekers into the workforce while working closely with the Business Services Team to ensure that sustainable career opportunities are available for all job seekers.

Responsibilities

Provide information about CareerLink services and the services of partner agencies and organizations to jobseekers

Complete eligibility determinations for individuals seeking services

Understand both the Youth and Adult/Dislocated Worker programs and provide case management for both populations

Maintain all dual enrollments for the Youth/A/DW Programs

Support the operation of the Career Resource Center (CRC) at least one full day of each work week

Provide individualized basic skills assessments and identify employment goals based on career interest ability and personal development considerations

Provide offsite enrollment opportunities and support with educational facilities and/or employers as assigned for both the youth and adult programs

Conduct Case Management duties determine program eligibility and maintain compliance with funder and Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act guidelines for all WIOA programs

Contact employers and post-secondary education opportunities

Conduct intake during orientation sessions with all job seekers in attendance

Build one-on-one working relationships with youth and adults to assist in mitigating challenges to obtaining and retaining employment.

Enroll youth participants in the program via the CWDS application

Meet regularly with all active Youth participants providing career exploration guidance and counseling

Provide individualized and holistic support to each participant tailored to their specific needs

Actively recruit WIOA youth eligible candidates to enroll in the youth program.

Provide offsite enrollment opportunities and support with educational facilities and/or employers as assigned.

Provide referrals to community partners when appropriate

Develop Individual Service Strategy and Individualized Employment Plans based on participants strengths and goals

Contact employers/post-secondary education opportunities

Establish detailed documentation of all client records to maintain organized database and generate all project reports as needed

Work closely with leadership and the Performance Analyst to be sure all activities are updated and participant information is entered into all appropriate databases and files

Engage youth in the Youth Fourteen Elements (career counseling goal setting entrepreneurship financial navigation training paid work experience literacy development GED mentorship tutoring etc).

Refer to financial navigator and community resources as appropriate

Provide staff-assisted job search services in the form of career guidance job leads and current labor market information

Administer suitability assessments for individuals pursuing training opportunities

Complete necessary WIOA data entry requirements on CWDS

Maintain participant files in accordance with state and local regulations

Provide follow-up activities according to program guidelines

Represent EDSI on various committees and workgroups as assigned

Presents participant ITA applicants during training approval meetings

Understands WIOA Title I Performance Metrics and maintains a caseload that meets the metrics of the contracts

Meets weekly with leadership and performance to review case load

Counsels motivates and encourages job seekers in advancing employment training and retention goals and provides support in resolving issues that may impede successful job placement and retention

Understands Title I Adult Dislocated Worker Youth and Opioid Grant requirements

Qualifications

Experience providing excellent service to jobseekers and employers

Experience working with unemployed underemployed displaced workers noncustodial parents ex-offenders veterans or other economically-disadvantaged populations

Ability to prioritize tasks and document all aspects of services provided

Demonstrated communication analytical and interpersonal skills

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred

Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

A valid drivers license and clean driving record required
