What you can expect as our AmeriCorps Program Manager
Perkins is honored to be a host site for AmeriCorps. As our AmeriCorps Program Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the Perkins AmeriCorps Service Program in partnership with the AmeriCorps Grants Project Director (Director of Volunteer Services). You will also play a key role in the administration of our Volunteer Services Program.
Support AmeriCorps grant policies compliance and documentation necessary for program audits
Play an active role in service member recruitment onboarding orientation training ongoing service experience and events
Supervision of members including auditing member experiences team meetings bi-weekly 1:1s and meetings with school staff
Ensure that members are documenting performance measures and the impact of programming on students members and Perkins
Support internal and external communications
Expense tracking for members and the overall program
Develop positive relationships with Massachusetts Service Alliance (MSA) other service sites recruitment partners and other internal and external relationships.
Support volunteer recruitment and onboarding
Provide support for volunteer events including but not limited to monthly campus workdays focused mainly on horticulture campus grounds and corporate volunteer events. (Evening and weekend hours required with advance notice)
Collect volunteer data from events and onboarding.
Serve as a secondary supervisor for Perkins TerraCorps
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelors Degree required
Prior experience with national service (AmeriCorps TerraCorps etc) required
1 years of volunteer management experience with a working knowledge of horticulture
A strong team player with the ability to engage proactively with a diverse group of service members internal and external partners
Ability to work independently and multi-task
Detail oriented ability to meet deadlines for documentation and compliance
Proven ability to build and nurture effective working relationships
