Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Coverage Adjuster specializing in Property & Liability. Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $115000 - $130000 per year

Responsibilities
- Serve as the designated claims representative for matters in coverage litigation and claims requiring separate coverage files across multiple insurance lines.
- Draft detailed coverage position letters and maintain accurate documentation of coverage claim files.
- Act as a point of contact and claim handler for Declaratory Judgement Actions in collaboration with the Legal Department.
- Attend mediation where coverage is at issue and ensure appropriate authority is maintained.
- Monitor file development to ensure accurate coverage positions throughout the claim lifecycle.
- Address Civil Remedy Notices and oversee associated files.
- Assist in maintaining internal resources relevant to proper handling of coverage claims.
- Act as a fact witness for matters in coverage litigation.
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Legal Department.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: BA/BS degree required; J.D. is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years combined experience in adjusting and handling coverage for commercial property and liability claims.
- At least 5 years of experience handling litigated claims.
- Prior experience with claims coverage analysis and drafting position letters.
- Skills:
- Strong writing editing and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Word Excel and internet applications.
- Ability to work independently meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Ability to work under pressure and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
- Certifications: CPCU or other industry designations are a plus.
- Licensing: State adjuster license required.
