Chewy is seeking a dynamic and analytical Category Manager to join our growing and fast-paced merchandising team in Plantation FL or Boston MA. We have very ambitious plans at Chewy and building our Merchandising teams and businesses are the top priority. Our Category Managers are hardworking ambitious minded contributors that enjoy relevant and impactful results growing our brand. In this role you will lead the P&L for a category in Hard Goods youll negotiate to improve business terms run high profile vendor relationships develop and implement business strategies and see opportunities to accelerate your business.

Our ideal candidate is a versatile business leader with a track record of high performance that can think big and operate at depth in parallel. Merchandising ecomm/retail sales marketing and or product experience are phenomenal backgrounds for this role.
What Youll Do:
- Lead one of the largest Chewys categories in Consumables.
- Have full P&L ownership.
- Establish construct and run strong external vendor relationships including ownership across all negotiations.
- Continue to realize growth rates across sales and profit.
- Build and implement based on research and data insights strategies and plans to both recruit new customers to Chewy and to develop existing customers via lifecycle management concepts.
- Find opportunities within your category to optimize and increase product performance including analyzing sales data assortment gaps and market trends to make quick effective decisions for your business.
- Work cross-functionally with finance marketing supply chain pricing private brands and customer service to ensure partnership as well as comprehensive planning and execution.
What Youll Need:
- 4 years of comprehensive business experience in ecommerce merchandising retail FMCG Consulting or similar organizations.
- Strong comprehensive business acuity and the willingness to move fast. Sales/Merchandising experience.
- Proven operator skilled in go-to-market and with focus on execution.
- Great interpersonal skills combined with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
- Outstanding proficiencies in vendor management/merchandising sales/marketing and general management.
- Ability to lead be flexible prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel and solid understanding of retail math.
Bonus:
- Business and leadership experience in market-leading organizations; both in bigger organizations and start-up businesses.
- SQL a plus.
