One of the fastest growing public accounting and advisory firms is seeking a Paraprofessional/Accountant in our Cleveland Ohio office. The Paraprofessional will be responsible for using tools systems and processes to provide accurate reports within the timeframes provided. Specifically the Paraprofessional can expect to assist with preparing financial statements and tax returns. In addition the Paraprofessional is expected to use good communication skills and work effectively as a member of a team in delivering a quality end product to clients.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
To assist support and work closely with clients staff and other team members in providing payroll tax bookkeeping and accounting services.
Effectively prioritize work volume utilizing multi-tasking skills to meet filing deadlines.
Prepare accurate financial statements and tax returns with special attention to the accuracy of all information.
Review all written work product for accuracy and potential errors and identify areas of concern to supervisors.
Perform necessary tax research and participate in technical discussions.
Maintain and develop relationships with clients including recognizing additional client service opportunities.
Keeps up to date with current issues and legislative changes.
Actively seek to gain knowledge and experience in audit accounting and tax procedures and gain knowledge of industry specific services.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree or higher preferred
Minimum of five years of paraprofessional experience
Experience with payroll processing & systems preferred.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
Bookkeeping services including data entry bank reconciliations and other related duties.
Payroll tax returns
Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel Word Outlook and QuickBooks)
Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities deadlines and commitments.
Attention to detail and the desire to provide quality client service on every assignment.
Desire to build an external network of relationships with clients potential clients and peers.
