Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Altera recruitment is seeking a skilled and motivatedElectrical Commissioning Engineerto take a hands-on role in the installation testing and commissioning of electrical systems across water wastewater and environmental infrastructure projects. As a Electrical Commissioning Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring systems function as intended are safe efficient and compliant and are handed over to clients with full documentation and operational reliability.
Responsibilities of an Electrical Commissioning Engineer:
- Lead the commissioning of electrical systems including control panels instrumentation MCCs VSDs and telemetry.
- Produce and maintain commissioning plans test records and sign-off sheets.
- Ensure as-commissioned drawings and data sheets are accurate and complete.
- Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with companyHealth Safety Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) systems.
Requirements
- Time-served or fully qualified in Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Competent in interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving organisational and communication skills
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- ECS/CSCS SMSTS/SSSTS Confined Space or EUSR water hygiene certifications
- Ensure safe energisation isolation and testing of systems including LV switchgear and control circuits.
