Your mission
Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant supports the efficient operation of the accounting function by ensuring accurate bookkeeping timely financial reporting compliance with relevant regulations (including tax and non-profit requirements) and the overall integrity of financial data. In doing so they contribute to the financial transparency and stability needed to support the organizations mission and operations.

Your responsibilities
- Ensure efficient processing and accurate accounting treatment of transactions maintaining clear and effective internal communication at all times.
- Oversee compliance with tax obligations including VAT corporate tax and other relevant filings ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures to support consistent and efficient financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement best practices in accounting operations and systems.
- Define and monitor performance indicators for the accuracy and timeliness of accounting processes (e.g. bookkeeping approvals payments) statutory reporting and tax filings.
- Stay informed on developments in legal accounting and tax regulations as well as relevant industry trends.
Your knowledge experience & skills
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (e.g. Bilanzbuchhalter or similar certification preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance.
- Understanding of accounting financial and tax regulations.
- Experience in financial reporting tax filing (VAT reverse charge etc.)
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. DATEV MS Dynamics etc.) and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Strong communication skills (in both English and German) with the ability to interact with colleagues senior management auditors and tax advisors.
- Strong organizational skills
