Job Description
Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Manager Business Controls and Monitoring.
The role provides leadership in driving implementing advising monitoring and managing risks and obligations within Westpacs Customer and Corporate Services (CCS) division supporting the Corporate Services Lines of Business. It is responsible for ensuring the consistent implementation and embedding of risk management frameworks policies and controls.
The role also involves partnering with key stakeholders on all risk and control matters developing practical solutions to risk-related challenges and supporting their end-to-end implementation through effective stakeholder engagement.
A key expectation of this role is to promote a strong risk culture that reflects the organisations ethics and integrity while appropriately balancing commercial and customer needs.
What do I need
- 5 10 years experience as a risk management professional ideally within banking or financial services with a strong background in risk assessment and material risk policy related to the relevant risk class.
- Proficient in foundational risk management skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders.
- Background in quality assurance.
- Relevant experience in risk management legal or compliance.
