Provide support to farm staff perform daily farm tasks assist with harvesting planting and growing vegetables.Job Description:
Description of Duties and Tasks
Performs duties in support of the farm manager and additional department staff.
Gathers compiles and enters data producing routine reports and documents.
Assist in the planting harvesting and selling of organic produce grown on the sustainable student farm.
Assist farm manager and other department staff in caring for livestock on sustainable student farm.
Assist farm manager and other department staff in operation of weekly farm stand.
Assist farm manager and other department staff with additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge
Operation of manual tools.
Farm operations and skills.
Customer service techniques.
Skills
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
Maintaining an established work schedule.
Effectively using interpersonal and communication skills.
Effectively using organizational and planning skills.
Effective customer-orientation when working with a diverse population.
Physical Requirements
Work is routinely performed in an outdoor environment.
Subject to standing walking sitting bending reaching kneeling pushing and pulling.
Occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.

Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
