Asset & Planning Manager

We are currently seeking a dynamic highly motivated innovative individual to fill the position of Asset & Planning Manager. As a key member of our leadership team the successful candidate will oversee the strategic planning management and optimization of our electrical distribution system. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our utility ensuring system reliability regulatory compliance and operational excellence in a rapidly evolving industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the asset management capacity and system planning activities collaborating with internal stakeholders and fostering a culture of safety innovation and continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage short medium and long-term plans for the distribution system with a focus on customer impact system capacity reliability and sustainability.
- Create and execute capital and operating budgets ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Build collaborative relationships with external stakeholders including IESO partners municipalities and industry groups.
- Monitor emerging trends such as smart grid technology distributed energy resources (DERs) and electric vehicle integration to inform strategic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including the OEB.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering () and . in Ontario (required).
- Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA) designation (highly preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of asset management system planning and optimization experience within the electrical utility sector.
- Demonstrated knowledge of asset management principles distribution system planning and lifecycle management.
- Experience with substation operations maintenance and PNC coordination.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A valid Ontario G drivers license with a clean driving record.
