40Summary:
The Clinical Engineering Operations Manager will manage support and direct the day-to-day operational program of the Clinical Engineering Department. Is the expert on all systems and equipment. Assigns scheduled and unscheduled work and specific duties to the staff working on medical/electronic equipment. Manages the Medical Equipment database to run monthly reports and make sure that scheduled and unscheduled work is completed according to Joint Commission NFPA OSHA HCFA and FDA standards. Meets with technicians and participates in process improvement activities. Establishes effective working relationships with physicians and medical staff. Assists the Director of Clinical Engineering with replacement strategies for clinical and electronic equipment. .
Education & Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in related field or Associates degree (AAS) from a two-year college or technical school.
Ten years experience working as a repair/service technician in the Clinical/Medical Equipment field.
Five years experience in a hospital environment.
Can effectively demonstrate excellent leadership with the ability to motivate people.
Must be a very trustworthy person that can deal with discrete matters.
Ability to function professionally in times of emergency and under stress.
Must be computer literate
