About the Role

The overall purpose of the Industry Placement Coordinator leads the coordination and administration of Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) placements for Engineering and Built Environment students within the College of Sport Health and Engineering. The role ensures placements meet accreditation and course requirements supports strategic industry engagement and contributes to streamlined placement processes across the College

This is a full time position at an HEP 7 $97863 - $105932 per annum plus 17% superannuation classification working 36.75 (1.0 FTE) hours per week over a fixed-term contract period (until June 2026).

Duties

An example of duties you may perform will include:

  • Lead the identification and cultivation of partnerships with industry government and community organisations that support meaningful Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) placements across the College
  • Provide high-level support and advice to academic staff on placement design simulated WIL activites and industry engagement activities.
  • Coordinate the sourcing and allocation of WIL placements for students in the college of Sport Health and Engineering ensuring the alignment with accreditation standards and course learning outcomes.
  • Design implement and manage streamlined placement processes using University systems (e.g. InPlace) ensuring alignment with VU WIL policies and procedures
  • Monitor and report on student placement completions identifying students at risk and recommending mitigation strategies to academic and College leadership

About You:

  • Experience working within the Engineering and Built Environment Industries
  • An ability to review and refine administrative processes
  • An ability to cultivate relationships both internally and externally.
