Job Description

Radiology/Mammography Technologist (Permanent Role)

Location: Temple TX 76508
Shift: 10 HR Days 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience

Essential Functions:
  • Perform high-quality breast imaging (mammography) procedures per protocol in a timely manner.
  • Follow established standards to maintain image quality and productivity.
  • Use AIDET communication techniques to ensure excellent patient interaction.
  • Educate and inform patients and families about imaging procedures.
  • Position and prepare patients set up equipment and adjust exposure factors.
  • Adhere to safety infection-control radiation and sterile technique protocols.
  • Maintain and inspect imaging equipment; report any malfunctions.
  • Ensure a clean safe and organized work environment.
  • Screen all individuals entering the department for safety compliance.
  • Verify and maintain accurate patient records documentation and imaging history.
  • Collaborate with physicists and engineers to ensure optimal imaging capabilities.

  • Proficiency in performing mammography procedures independently and accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workload and prioritize care.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to age-specific care needs.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and ability to administer first aid if necessary.
  • Commitment to quality assurance regulatory compliance and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program
  • Certification/License:
    • ARRT Registered in Radiologic Technology
    • ARRT Certification in Mammography (ARRT-M) Required
