Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP PPDS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) Consultant to support advanced planning and scheduling functions within an SAP S/4HANA environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in PPDS configuration planning heuristics optimization and integration with manufacturing and supply chain systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and design solutions using SAP PPDS on S/4HANA
- Configure and optimize planning processes including heuristics pegging planning runs and detailed scheduling
- Develop and maintain planning models for finite capacity scheduling setup matrix and order sequencing
- Integrate PPDS with SAP PP APO and MES systems
- Perform testing troubleshoot issues and support users through go-live and hypercare
- Collaborate with production planners supply chain teams and IT to streamline planning processes
- Create documentation functional specs and training materials
- Monitor and support day-to-day planning execution and scheduling operations
Must-Have Skills:
- Overall SAP Experience: 10-13 Years
- 5 years of SAP PPDS experience preferably in S/4HANA embedded PPDS
- Strong understanding of production planning finite capacity scheduling and constraint-based planning
- Experience in planning strategies planning heuristics setup optimization and resource scheduling
- Integration experience with SAP PP MM SD and shop floor/MES systems
- Excellent communication documentation and analytical skills
- Must be willing to work 100% onsite in Detroit MI
Nice to Have:
- Experience with S/4HANA Embedded PPDS (not just APO)
- Automotive or discrete manufacturing industry experience
- Familiarity with CIF (Core Interface) for master data transfer between ECC/S4 and APO
- SAP certification in PPDS or S/4HANA Manufacturing
