Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS
- Massachusetts licensure Principal/Assistant Principal.
- Possession of a Masters Degree from an accredited college.
- A valid Massachusetts Teaching Certificate with at least five years of successful classroom experience.
- Experiencewithtraining and development in the area of educational and instructional leadership
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Principal in the administration of the school.
- Share instructional leadership of the school under the supervision of the Principal.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for students by implementing behavior guidelines in the student handbook.
- Be responsible for school safety.
- Supervise and evaluate staff.
- Be responsible for monitoring student attendance.
- Keep records and data for state statistics.
- Coordinate and supervise detention.
- Assume the responsibility for the school in the absence of the Principal.
- Perform other duties as the Superintendent or Principal may assign.
Reports to: School Principal
Salary: In accordance with Malden Public Schools Unit B schedule
