Woodford Oil Company sell a full line of petroleum products & motor fuels to retail service stations & convenience stores as well as commercial industrial mining and farming industries. Woodford Oil Company proudly markets to customers in West Virginia Kentucky Ohio Virginia Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Woodford Oil Company is looking for a full-time Assistant Transportation Dispatcher and Operations support at our Elkins WV Terminal.
Position:
This is a full-time position that will be providing dispatch support for petroleum hazmat drivers and assisting with bulk plant operations.
Primary Job Duties:
Collaborate with dispatch team to schedule daily work for the fleet
Receive and dispatch orders from customers for the product delivery
Evaluate decide and direct drivers and warehouse staff on workflow
Prioritize jobs in order of urgency and importance
Communicate by phone and email with drivers and customers regarding loads
Monitor the daily workflow of drivers and warehouse operations
Ensure all loads are covered and dispatched effectively and timely
Assist with incoming loads into the facility
Assist with counter sales for walk-in customers
Assist with billing department to complete all required documentation
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Must be detail orientated organized and have excellent multi-tasking skills
Must work well in fast-paced environment
Proficiency in computer skills
Must have good communication skills
Must be able to work in a team environment
Must be organized and willing to work some weekends
Knowledge and prior experience in dispatching preferred but not required
Knowledge or experience in wholesale distribution a plus
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
