CDL Grapple Truck Operator Summary:
We are seeking a safety-conscious and dependable CDL Grapple Truck Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for operating motorized equipment to safely and efficiently remove tree debris brush and other materials from work sites. Due to the nature of the work the operator must maintain strong focus and attention for extended periods.
Duties/ Responsibilities
- Operate grapple truck and related heavy equipment to remove and place tree and debris materials.
- Handle motorized equipment and tools including power saws winches and hydraulic equipment.
- Clean up haul and dispose of tree limbs logs and debris from job sites.
- Use hand tools such as axes pruners and saws to assist in clearing operations.
- Perform preventative maintenance and service on vehicles and equipment.
- Spray herbicides on brush and stumps when needed following proper application procedures.
- Set up work site protection including cones warning signs and barriers.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
- Ability to wear and work in required PPE.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical ability to:
- Lift and carry 1050 pounds.
- Climb on and off trucks and equipment.
- Grip balance pull and push as part of daily job duties.
- Must be able to operate all required hand and power tools safely.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting (1050 lbs)
- Climbing (equipment and terrain)
- Repetitive hand and arm movements (gripping pulling pushing)
- Balance and coordination in various work environments Knowledge of ornamental pruning and heavy equipment operation is a plus.
