Job Description

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for all activities of physical logistics including warehousing shipping receiving.  This position requires effectively and efficiently managing the physical flow of materials throughout the supply chain.  The Warehouse Manager will oversee all logistics related personnel planning operational duties and cost center responsibilities. 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and develop warehousing freight management and physical logistics teams.
  • Determine budgetary requirements for all logistics activities.
  • Create and drive plans for continued improvements of logistics processes.
  • Direct and manage the policies objectives and initiatives established by the Charlotte plant and Bosch Rexroth Corp.
  • Provide strategic guidance information and feedback for team decision making.
  • Hire coach and mentor direct reports.
  • Communicate key initiatives direction and vision to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify connections between situations and key issues in complex situations.
  • Perform other essential and related peripheral duties as may be assigned.
  • Ensure adequate logistics performance to satisfy both internal and external customer needs.
  • Actively market and promote plant operational capabilities and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to existing work standards and processes to meet quality targets.
  • Set priorities in an effective manner to assure completion of all assignments successfully and within allotted time frames.
  • Participate as part of cross-functional teams

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor of Science Supply Chain and/or Engineer degree or 15 years of experience in lieu
  • Minimum 10-15 years of prior Warehouse Management Leadership
  • A comprehensive knowledge of lean logistics concepts
  • Strong communication integrity and the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Able to establish trust and positive relationships with team members
  • SAP WMS experience required MS Office proficiency
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and experience in using problem solving techniques such as 8D 5 Why CIP
  • Flexible (welcome and adaptable to change) including working hours
  • Discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established standards policies and procedures.
  • Able to identify analyze and resolve complex problems.
  • Must have a high sense of urgency attention to detail excellent organizational skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
