Job Description
As a Finance Manager at FLINT you will be a strategic business partner to the operations department. Based out of our Calgary office the role entails managing financial processes providing analytical insights and ensuring compliance with financial controls while fostering a culture of financial accountability within the organization.
What would you be doing
- Partner with Operations to understand business needs provide financial insights and present value-added reporting while maintaining compliance with financial and SOX controls.
- Lead a team of Project Accountants fostering a culture of excellence collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Provide comprehensive financial support to Operations; oversee month-end cycles conduct GL analysis and perform forecast-to-actual variance analysis.
- Lead the development of forecasts and budgets in alignment with operational objectives.
- Optimize working capital manage contract execution and ensure financial terms are met. Oversee audits and provide financial expertise for proposals and contract negotiations.
- Support financial control and customer audits and address any findings or recommendations.
- Handle ad hoc financial projects and analysis as required.

Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting or related field; an accounting designation CPA CMA CA or CGA required.
- Proven experience in finance leadership and a deep understanding of financial principles and regulations including SOX compliance. Consulting experience is considered an asset.
- Experience managing a high-performing finance team in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Proficient in English both written and verbal communication required.
