Primary Function of Position:
The Analyst works closely with marketing and sales directors and managers to perform detailed analyses for the commercial organization and proactively provides strategic insights and guidance to managers above including GM. There is significant interaction with commercial directors as well as cross-functional work across customer finance training marketing and our Asia sales operations teams. This is a highly analytical role involving the manipulation of large data sets requires a keen understanding of sales and marketing concepts and the ability to communicate and develop meaningful work relationships with multiple business partners.
This role is also working closely with FP&A function not only for business analysis but also financial analysis. This role is highly connected with business as well as finance potential career opportunities go to business functions and finance on top of promotion within sales operation.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Serve as a business consultant for GM Japan Sales managers/directors and marketing managers
- Provide detailed and actionable analysis to the marketing and sales organizations to drive performance with financial analysis
- Develop tools and dashboards that highlight opportunity and enable our capital sales team to more effectively sell da Vinci technology
- Provide early insights regarding market trends and the resultant strategic/business model impact Utilize SQL and Tableau to query CRM Customer Service and Finance databases
- Develop models and dashboards to track new product launches the impact of sales activities and financial reporting for budget versus actual
- Participate with cross functional-teams to investigate and resolve operational issues
- Connect with stakeholders internal and external to learn from best practices impacting countries performance
- Participate Asia/global FSO initiatives as a country/Asia representative
- Use analytical skills to verify or dispel anecdotal insights
Qualifications :
Skills Experience Education & Training:
- Minimum Bachelors degree (Masters degree preferred)
- Five years of relevant work experience in finance or Sales/Marketing analytical department
- Critical thinking Intellectual curiosity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with humility to include the ability to interact with commercial leadership
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to support and prioritize multiple projects concurrently
- Desire to work in a dynamic fast-paced organization and eager to learn from others
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to consistently discern strategic insights from data analysis
- Intermediate Excel & Working knowledge of SQL (Tableau experience and skills preferred)
- Financial experience and capability are preferred (experience in accounting FP&A or worked with relevant department)
- Sales/ Marketing experience are plus
