Job Description
BESIX Watpac is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Qld Construction team to deliver a commercial project in Maroochydore. The role involves managing critical and technically challenging activities to achieve project safety time quality environment and budget objectives.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Prepare and monitor project management plans systems and registers as delegated by the Project Manager.
- Manage a number of critical path type subcontractors to technical requirements.
- Proactively participate in Subcontractor Coordination meetings to ensure that a highly productive work environment is created and maintained.
- Establish and monitor quality controls as per specifications and project management plans in addition to reporting variances and rectifying quality defects.
- Identify and manage project resources including materials handling equipment for optimum productivity.
- Assist with cost management and reporting including preparation of project reports material registers cash flow predictions and progress claims.
Qualifications :
The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:
- Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or a recognised equivalent.
- Construction delivery experience in a Project Engineer or Site Engineer capacity.
- Ability to communicate influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business.
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative sound reasoning listening and decision making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high pressure environment.
