Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: To assist supervisor in the day-to-day operations of the EVS staff while maintaining cleanliness standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- To assist the supervisor in directing assisting monitoring performance and ensure the completion of EVS tasks assigned to cleaners.
- Accountable for follow up with department walk through special cleaning projects and maintaining of department cleanliness and training standards.
- Monitor key control and radio control and assist in the collecting of each at the end of shift.
- Handle customer and employee issues/complaints in conjunction with the supervisor when they occur.
- Assist in continuous training of staff to insure proper execution of given tasks.
- Complete any assigned task from department manager or supervisor.
- Perform departmental BUZZ sessions when supervisors have days off.
- Will be expected to clean zones on the casino floor or restrooms and any other job if short staffed or if staff needs assistance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain Missouri Gaming License.
- Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift including holidays and weekends.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
- Previous janitorial experience preferred.
- Knowledge of chemicals shampoos strippers and wax preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work independently along with a team mentality.
- Must be able to bend twist turn push and pull as well as lift and carry above/below the shoulders a minimum of 25 lbs or more.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time or entire shift.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
- Is able to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke high noise levels bright lights and dust.
- Must be able to read write speak and understand English.
- Must be able to maneuver around office areas effectively work in high traffic areas and responds to visual and aural cues.
- Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet.
- Ability to push pull lift up to 50lbs and pull or push carts up to 200lbs.
