Job Description

Best Ford is actively seeking a highly skilled Transmission Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing automatic and manual transmissions across a variety of makes and models with a focus on Ford vehicles. This role is vital in maintaining the high level of service our customers expect and trust.

Job Type & Schedule

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Work Requirements:

  • Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts

  • Ability to Commute: Nashua NH (Required)

  • Work Location: In person

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose transmission issues accurately using diagnostic tools and test drives

  • Disassemble inspect repair or replace defective transmission parts and systems

  • Perform transmission services including fluid changes flushes filter replacements and reseals

  • Road test vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper operation

  • Communicate with service advisors and other technicians about recommended repairs

  • Keep a clean and organized work area adhering to all safety procedures

  • Stay current with Ford training programs and technical bulletins

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in transmission diagnostics and repair

  • Ford certification or manufacturer-specific training is preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagnostic tools

  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work

  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record

  • Must pass background check and drug screening
