Atlas Data Science a subsidiary of Freedom Technology Solutions Group is hiring a Senior UI/UX Developer to assist in the development and launch of a new platform that is intended to enhance the discovery access use and sharing of diverse data types across an expanding network of suppliers and consumers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior UI/UX Developer to join our dynamic and growing team. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers leveraging a modern technology stack that includes Oracle NestJS Python Kubernetes Apache Spark. As a UI/UX Developer you will play a key role in shaping user-centered experiences participating in requirements gathering wireframing prototyping and usability testing. Key tasks can be found below.
Key Responsibilities
o Organizing and structuring content in an intuitive way that is easy to navigate.
o Design wireframes both a front-end UI and back end (database administration UI).
o Develop the look and feel of the interface. This includes typography color palettes ad graphics.
o Define how users interact with the interface.
o Create various methods of presenting database information: tables graphs charts maps KPIs etc.
o Conduct testing on the solution and collect feedback.
o Collaborate with product managers developers and other stakeholders throughout the design and development process.
o Actively learn and apply new technologies and development best practices.
Requirements
o Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
o Proficiency in design software like Figma Sketch Adobe or comparable.
o Ability to create interactive prototypes and demonstrate ideas.
o Experience conducting research and usability testing.
o Interest or exposure to geospatial data processing (e.g. GIS systems coordinate systems KML shapefiles).
o Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn complex data systems.
o Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented agile environment.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
