Finance Assistant (Credit Control) - FTC (3 Months) MK41

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant (Credit Control) to join our Finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a respected educational charity that is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. In this role you will play a pivotal part in managing school fee accounts across four schools ensuring timely payments and maintaining accurate financial records.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily reviews and monitoring of school fee arrears reports.
  • Communicate with account holders to resolve overdue payments in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Use and maintain communication templates in line with established policies.
  • Record and follow up on returned direct debits.
  • Support the Billing Manager with escalated cases as required.

Person Specification:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a credit control environment is essential.

Hours of Work:

  • Full-time 37 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday.

Work Location:

  • This role is based on-site requiring in-person attendance.
