Purpose:
Performs advanced multifaceted accounting and related functions in such areas as ledger maintenance and analysis cost and financial analysis fund reconciliation positing and inventory control. Analyses complex financial and operation data and prepare management reports financial statements and projections.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.
Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; converting data to general ledger system; obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements.
Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
All other duties as requested.
General Statement - Performs the job assigned complying with Company policies and procedures business code of ethics FLSA regulations and all applicable laws as well as ensuring confidentiality reliability quality and productivity.
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience with Financial Accounting Standards.
1-3 years experience in accounting field.
At least 1 years of demonstrated automated general ledger accounting experience.
At least 1 years of practical experience with spreadsheet applications.
Ability to compile data for reporting
Ability to complete task meet deadlines
Time management skills
Maintain confidentiality
Excellent verbal and written skills
Intermediate proficiency in applications of word processing accounting and spreadsheet software
