Purpose:
Performs multifaceted accounting and related functions. Professionally and discretely maintain accurate rental accounting records of the escrow accounts managed by the company following our contractual obligations and involves the management and oversight of the Escrow accounts of Homeowners Association (HOA) rentals commissions and owner interaction and financial transactions.
Provides support for Operations as well as to the VPs and SVPs of resorts and accounting.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares reports and records by collecting analyzing and summarizing account information.
- Audit resorts daily cash reports for multiple HOAs.
- Post corporate rental payments.
- Responsible for the integrity of the Associations rental commission and sales tax payment records.
- Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
- Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.
- Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
- Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
- Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; converting data to general ledger system; obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements.
- Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience with Financial Accounting Standards.
- 1-3 years experience in accounting field.
- At least 1 years of demonstrated automated general ledger accounting experience.
- At least 1 years of practical experience with spreadsheet applications.
Skills Knowledge and Abilities:
- Knowledge of QuickBooks is a strong plus
- Proficient computer skills knowledge of Word Excel PowerPoint etc.
- Knowledge of SFAS rules
