  • Hours: Part Time Monday Friday 7.30 9am and 3 6pm term time only
  • Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months required from September 2025

Leiston is a 420 place school with a busy nursery. Currently judged by Ofsted as Good. We offer our children a wide range of opportunities. We uphold a safeguarding ethos at the very heart of what we do and it forms our decisions on a day by day basis with the childs voice being a key part of this.

As the Lead Activities Worker (Wrap Around Care) you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our breakfast and after-school provision. You will plan and deliver engaging activities ensure a warm and inclusive environment and work closely with school staff and families to provide high-quality care.

Key responsibilities:

  • Set up and manage daily wraparound sessions
  • Plan and deliver fun age-appropriate activities that support childrens development
  • Provide a safe and stimulating environments for all pupils
  • Lead and supervise wraparound care staff
  • Liaise with parents and carers to support childrens needs
  • Ensure policies and procedures (e.g. safeguarding health and safety) are always followed.

You will have:

  • experience of working with children in a primary school or childcare setting
  • motivated reliable and nurturing in your approach
  • excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Paediatric First Aid and DSL Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete).
