Position Description:
We are seeking a Senior Drupal Developer with deep expertise in front-end theming and back-end module development. This role requires a mix of programming skills (PHP HTML CSS JS etc.) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen follow strict style guides) and understands BC Govt media and accessibility requirements.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of Drupal core architecture be fluent in building with Paragraph Layout Builder Views and other core modules using Drupals APIs hooks and services. Experience in responsive and adaptive design along with the full understanding of the entire web development lifecycle. A solid understanding of integration best practices (RESTful APIs JSON:API) and familiarity with configuration management CI/CD workflows and DevOps environments is highly desirable.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Expertise with Drupal core modules (Fields Views Blocks Taxonomy Menus etc.)
Deep experience with Paragraphs Layout Builder Media and Entity Reference
Custom content types view modes form displays field formatters
Extensive experience with PHP v8 JavaScript jQuery and Drupal theme layer including theme functions and customizations.
Highly proficient in HTML5/XHTML and CSS.
Ability to understand CSS changes to have consistent style across platforms and browsers
Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into Drupal twig templates
Experience building responsive websites using Drupal CMS HTML/HTML5 CSS/CSS3 and JavaScript/jQuery.
Experience designing and developing responsive design websites.
Experience leading Drupal site builds end-to-end including planning estimation and defining technical approaches.
Creating custom modules from scratch. Using Drupal hooks plugins services and event subscribers. Implementing and extending Form API custom entities and route controllers
Comfortable working in a team environment sharing code utilizing containers such as Dev and maintaining development standards .
Advanced site-building experience including deep familiarity with all Drupal core modules including Paragraphs and other content structuring tools.
Experience creating custom Drupal modules and keeping to standard Drupal methodology.
Understands Integration concepts (RESTful services API development etc.)
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level geographic market experience and training and licensure and certification. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range in British Columbia is $75000 - $150000.
