Job Description

Description

Finance strategically partners with operations to drive outstanding business results and enhance Fords industry leadership. When you join us youll be able to contribute financial expertise that impacts all areas of our company including planning manufacturing marketing and global distribution.

In this position... You will be responsible for financial planning budgeting forecasting analysis accounting and reporting activities related to the product development organizations engineering for vehicle programs and Ford Performance.



Responsibilities

What youll do

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Support monthly accounting for related engineering business activities
  • Provide monthly and quarterly variance analysis identifying key trends and drivers impacting financial performance
  • Develop and maintain physicals-based financial forecasts for the Vehicle Programs and Ford Performance organization incorporating input from various key stakeholders
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Present financial results to the organizational leadership teams providing insights and recommendations
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to key stakeholders

Budget Management & Control

  • Monitor and control engineering spending against budget ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Review and approve capital project requests purchase requisitions and other spending requests ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the Product Development organization

Business Partnering & Collaboration

  • Provide financial and business support to the Vehicle Program and Ford Performance engineering teams by closely collaborating with key stakeholders including Business Offices Supply Chain and Marketing.
  • Collaborate with business offices to develop business cases and optimize how work is done
  • Partner with supply chain and transformation teams to help negotiate favorable contracts with external vendors

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering financial management
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and other relevant regulations
  • Develop and maintain documentation of key financial processes


Qualifications

Youll have...

  • Bachelors degree in finance accounting or a related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with job responsibilities focused on finance and accounting and operations support

You should also have

  • Strong understanding of product development financial management principles including budgeting forecasting cost management and capital investment analysis
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including ability to effectively communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams at the same time including quick turnaround times

This position is a banded position salary grade 5-8.
