The Opportunity

Our client a government agency in Tallahassee FL is seeking a Lead Data Integration Engineer to join its Data Services position is critical for administering and maintaining Informatica IDMC services ensuring platform stability and optimizing configurations across various projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with Informatica IDMC tools Snowflake and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and will be instrumental in supporting data integration data quality and application integration services. This role requires on-site presence in Tallahassee FL with some flexibility for occasional remote work at the hiring managers discretion.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Administer and maintain Informatica IDMC services including Administrator Data Integration Data Quality Data Profiling Application Integration and API Center.
• Ensure platform stability and optimal configuration across projects.
• Deploy configure and upgrade Informatica Secure Agents on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers.
• Implement agent failover load balancing and manage cipher suites and secure communications (TLS/SSL).
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Git Jenkins) for deployment of mappings tasks processes and other assets across multiple IDMC organizations.
• Maintain and configure platform connections secure credentials and secure agent parameter tuning for optimal performance and resource utilization.
• Manage SSO administration with SAML based user access roles and security policies ensuring compliance with organizational standards and data governance requirements.
• Coordinate with infrastructure security and data teams to implement best practices in platform operations and administration.
• Monitor environment performance identify issues and work with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve failures.
• Maintain logs and perform root cause analysis for environment errors or performance bottlenecks.
• Oversee scheduling notifications and platform performance metrics to proactively manage SLAs.
• Perform ongoing Secure Agent health checks configure log rotation integrate with enterprise tools and manage patching processes using CLI and shell scripting on RHEL.
• Provide platform support for Cloud Data Integration Cloud Application Integration and Cloud Data Quality services including agent upgrades patches and coordination with Informatica support.
• Work closely with data engineering and business teams to enable seamless development and deployment of pipelines and workflows.
• Stay current with Informatica Cloud platform enhancements new features and industry best practices.
• Recommend improvements in performance automation and scalability of the data integration infrastructure.
• Analyze transactional data stores and develop data warehouse models to optimize the warehouse for reporting and analytics.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of methods and practices documentation.

Compensation and Term

This opportunity is for a full-time contract position with possibleextensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $158000per year. Medical dental vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful Data Integration Engineer has the following experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Equivalent work experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Minimum of 7 years of IT work experience utilizing data management tools business intelligence tools and data warehousing.
• Strong Data Integration and Data Warehousing experience with Informatica IDMC tools (IDMC CDI MI CAI etc.).
• Strong experience with Data Integration tasks like extraction transformation and load (ETL or ELT).
• Experience administering IDMC platform Secure Agent Infrastructure and Snowflake Data Cloud platform for statewide adoption.
• Knowledge of and skill in relational database platforms including DB2 SQL Server Snowflake and Oracle.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux application administration (security patching disk filesystems wrapper/auto-startup scripts).
• Strong experience with IDMC Connectors to perform Change Data Capture solutions like PowerExchange and other widely used connectors (relational ServiceNow etc.).
• Experience designing data models for Business Intelligence tools like Power BI and Cognos.
• Experience with Informatica on-premises products like PowerCenter and Data Quality.
• Strong development experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
• Experience with IDMC Cloud Administration and Snowflake Data Cloud Administration.
• Experience with Informatica IDMC Cloud Performance Tuning.
• Experience with Snowflake Data Cloud Performance Tuning.

• Extensive experience with Informatica PowerCenter and Snowflake.
• Experience with IBM Mainframes COBOL JCL and DB2 analysis.
