* Please note:Our program is a one year internship designed for college graduates to equip them for ministry. The internship starts in mid-September and concludes the following (early) more information go to: Objective:

The Accounting Intern will learn and be able to perform a variety of Accounting processes including revenue receipting and processing accounts payable approval and processing budgeting and retail operations. These duties will be performed in a manner consistent with Mount Hermon Association Inc.s (MHA) mission vision culture code and standards of conduct.

General Qualifications:

The Accounting Intern is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work stewardship relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming MHAs Christian mission vision beliefs culture code and standards of conduct. They are responsible for defining cultivating and leading MHAs Christian community conference programs and retreats. All staff are expected to join gatherings which include prayer worship and Bible centered teaching.

Key Job Accountabilities:

Intern Program Key Accountabilities(10% to 15% of your time)

* Thoughtfully engage in coursework and readings assigned by the Intern Program Director in order to grow in your understanding of God yourself and your vocational calling.

* Attend engage and contribute to Intern Program meetings and trainings.

* Participate in two Intern Retreats and one all-staff retreat.

Other Responsibilities(up to 25% of your time)

* Serve cross-departmentally in order to learn other skills and service roles in camping ministry. This includes but is not limited to: Dining Facilities Accommodations and Guest Services.

* Help facilitate a Guest Group event during the Thanksgiving holiday week in partnership with Mount Hermons Guest Services team and other departments.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

  • Bachelors degree preferably in business

Work Experience:

  • Experience working with the Microsoft Suite (Excel Word etc.) required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to establish priorities organize well work independently and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages including knowledge and working ability with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to learn multiple software programs with ease.
  • Satisfactory completion of background investigation.

Physical Demands:

The physical environment requires the employee sit at a desk and computer for long periods of time. The primary job responsibilities involve long hours of data entry.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in regards to all areas encountered in the job.
  • Must agree to and comply with MHAs employee driving guidelines for MHA-owned vehicles and use of personal vehicles for business purposes.
  • Will be required to participate in Summer Staff Program as a component of the Internship program.
  • Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in Mount Hermons Mission Vision Values and Commitment statements.
  • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
  • Satisfactory completion of background investigation as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
