Job Description
Stoneham High School is seeking an experienced and student-centered School Nurse to serve our high school community. Schedule: Full-Time School-Year Position
Minimum Requirements:
DESE licensure as a School Nurse (Required)
Current MA Registered Nurse (RN) License (Required)
CPR and First Aid Certification (Required)
Bachelors Degree in Nursing or related field
Demonstrated commitment to student safety and wellness
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant experience providing school-based health services
Familiarity with public school protocols and the day-to-day needs of a high school setting
Ability to support diverse student populations with empathy professionalism and discretion
Effective communication and record-keeping skills
Role Overview:
The School Nurse plays a vital role in promoting the physical and emotional well-being of our students. Responsibilities include providing direct nursing care administering medications and treatments maintaining accurate health records and collaborating with families and staff to support a safe and healthy school environment. The nurse will also assist in emergency preparedness public health compliance and wellness programming.
