This position begins August 25th 2025 and continues for the 2025-2026 school Driscoll Extended Day Program (DEDP) is a private non-profit afterschool program that operates within the Driscoll School building in Brookline MA. We provide a nurturing and fun after school environment for children in Pre-K Kindergarten and up through the 5th Grade. Our daily schedule includes both structured programming such as arts and crafts sports science drama and special events as well as unstructured hang-out time. We strive to promote the social and emotional development of the children by helping them gain self-confidence and build positive relationships decision-making abilities conflict resolution skills and independence. (Afterschool program and/or camp experience is valued!)- Enthusiasm creativity positive attitude initiative strong work ethic flexibility- Experience and interest in planning and running a variety of group activities such as arts and crafts gym/outdoor games science drama etc.- Commitment to quality and the desire to make a difference for children and families.- Experience and interest in team teaching- Ability to make a commitment for the entire 25-26 school yearSchedule requirements: (23 hours/week):- Monday through Thursday 2:00pm-6:15pm- Friday 1:15pm-6:15pm (due to public school early release schedule)- Wednesday availability to stay for a one hour (paid) professional development meeting 6:15pm-7: requirements for DEDP Group and Assistant Group Leaders:- Supervise a group of children throughout the day in a variety of settings - Build and maintain relationships with parents and families of studentsJob requirements for DEDP Group Leaders:- Responsible for designing and implementing activities for students including projects (arts & crafts STEM cooking etc) active games and recurring topical clubs for studentsDEDP is an equal opportunity employer.
