Position Overview

At Outbound Stowe we believe a day by the pool should feel like a mountain retreat. As a Pool Attendant youre not just handing out towelsyoure crafting a vibe. Youll help create a welcoming well-kept and safe outdoor escape for our guests to unwind refresh and connect with nature and each other.

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pool deck furniture and surrounding areas

  • Set up stock and refresh pool towels and amenities throughout the day

  • Greet guests warmly and assist with any pool-related questions or needs

  • Monitor pool area for safety and report any issues to the appropriate team

  • Uphold Outbounds commitment to hospitality connection and exceptional guest service

  • Ensure all pool rules are followed in a respectful and friendly manner

As a Pool Attendant your presence sets the tone for our guests outdoor experience. You help create moments of joywhether its offering a local tip helping a family find the perfect lounge chair or simply ensuring the space is clean and inviting. Youre not just part of the teamyoure part of the memory.

Youre approachable reliable and love working outdoors. Youre energized by nature and enjoy helping people have a good time. Youre just as comfortable restocking towels as you are chatting with guests about their hiking plans.

  • Ability to stand walk lift up to 25 pounds and work in outdoor conditions for extended periods

  • Flexibility to work weekends holidays and sunny days

  • Comfortable interacting with guests in a friendly and approachable manner

  • Willingness to uphold cleanliness standards and safety protocols

  • Enthusiastic positive attitude and team spirit

Nice to Have

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Previous hospitality or customer-facing experience

  • Familiarity with Stowe area and surrounding outdoor activities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Walk all assigned areas at beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers pick up and replace towels in pool area empty trash containers and ash urn in public areas into proper containers. Dusts all tables lamps and ledges in all public areas and corridors and other assigned areas. Inspect condition of furniture for tears rips and stains and report damages. Clean and maintain lights.
  • Maintains supply levels in the public areas i.e. pads and pencils toilet paper and Kleenex. Maintains and cleans all public washrooms checking twice each hour. Makes routine checks of all public areas to ensure cleanliness. Maintains the cleanliness of all windows glass and doors in public and employee areas.
  • Checks elevators pool area mops floors cleans carpets and polishes brass as necessary. Maintains elevator tracks. Performs cleaning tasks in public areas including vacuuming sweeping moping and collecting garbage.
  • Clean public and employee restrooms and showers. Clean floor surfaces in public or employee space using designated chemicals supplies and equipment.
  • Post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary. Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs. Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments. Identify and report preventive or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
  • Respond at all times in a friendly helpful and courteous manner to guests managers and fellow associates. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures. Report all guest issues and complaints to management

  • Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities provide assistance attend meetings as required by management.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior Experience:
    • 1 Previous housekeeping hospitality experience preferred but not required.
  • IT Expertise:
    • Advanced knowledge of computer software (including Microsoft Office outlook) and web analytics tools is preferred.
  • Education:
    • High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • Subject Expertise:
    • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests.
    • Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to Supervisor.
    • Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the Associate Handbook.
    • Must be service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
    • Must be able to effectively communicate to guests management and coworkers and read write and understand the English language
    • Must be energetic and outgoing
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Must be able to follow directions with attention to detail speed and accuracy
    • Must be a team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision
    • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
    • Must be able to understand and work with basic financial information and solve basic arithmetic problems
    • Must be able to type 45 wpm and have the ability to input data and access information on the computer
    • Must have proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Opera; preferred.
    • Must be able to exercise confidentiality and discretion.

OTHER EXPECTATIONS:

  • Abide by payroll policies procedures and rules of conduct as stated in the Springboard Hospitality Associate Handbook.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all company safety and security procedures.
  • Travel required: As needed for hotel familiarization content creation shoots and to meet with colleagues.
  • Hours Required: Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (PST) while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some weekend or holiday work may occasionally be required.
