About the Western Family Violence Team
The Western Family Violence Service (WFVS) is the lead provider for the integrated family violence service system in the Central Highlands sub-region. The WFVS provides support and intervention services to adult and child victim-survivors as well as people who use programs aim to support victim-survivors to remain safely within their community and to recover from the impacts of family violence and to support accountability and change for people who have used or are using force or violence.
Berry Street delivers a range of casework and group interventions for people using violence or force. This includes Perpetrator Case Management Caring Dads and Place for Change.
Your Opportunity
The Specialist Family Violence Team Leader for People Who Use Violence will provide supervision support and consultation to the case management case work and group facilitator within the program area. They will also support the enhancement of best practice across the team.
The Team Leader will attend meetings as required focusing on enhancing partnerships with services as identified. The role will work closely with the team leader group and program managers.
At times the role will be required to respond to persons with complex needs and provide other operational duties as required.

Your Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will hold a minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or recent employment in the family violence sector or equivalency met through the 7 Equivalency Principles in line with the minimum mandatory qualification requirements.
