Were looking for a detail-focused Tax Specialist to support compliance reporting and advisory work within the finance team. This role will help ensure accurate submissions mitigate risk and contribute to tax planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit PAYE and VAT returns
Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and payment deadlines
Conduct reconciliations and resolve tax discrepancies
Advise internal teams on payroll tax and VAT matters
Monitor tax legislation changes and assess business impact
Support tax planning and process improvements
Liaise with HMRC and external tax advisers
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of UK tax laws (PAYE VAT HMRC processes)
Experience in preparing tax computations and returns
Proficient in Excel and tax software
Excellent communication accuracy and analytical skills
ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified
Previous experience in a tax-focused role (practice or in-house)
