Job Description
The team at Parkside Elementary are seeking anOffice Paraeducatorto assist teachers and other school staff providing administrative support to further enhance the efficiency and productivity of educational environments.
Essential Job Functions:
- Generates reports on student attendance creates letters to parents regarding student absences
- Creates and maintains the student attendance database and student records
- Prepares homework requests per student absences
- Sorts and distributes all interoffice/postal mail as necessary
- Requests transportation for students as needed
- Greets incoming personnel to include the check-in/out procedures of students parents andother visitors
- Performs routine clerical duties such as copying typing answering/making telephone callstaking attendance ordering supplies and basic troubleshooting
- Performs additional non-instructional duties including but not limited to cafeteria duty bus dutyhall duty and office duty as assigned by the principal or designee

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of two (2) years working with children within an instructional educational or related setting
- Ability to successfully complete and maintain a Basic First Aid and CPR certification
