What youll do

Responsibilities

What you will be doing

Working independently and supporting a high-performing remote team you will provide confidential day-to-day administrative support for the Centre of Forest Innovation the Program Director and other members of the team you will:

  • Ensure the daily activities of the Program Director and team are organized efficiently
  • Provide administrative support for key events of the Centre
  • Complete external bookings
  • Process monthly expenses
  • Assist in the preparation of all supporting materials for agendas meetings minutes and presentations
  • Respond to inquiries initiate actions and respond independently when appropriate and demonstrate independence and initiative in anticipating needs while juggling multiple and competing priorities

Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Office Administration combined with a minimum of two years recent and related experience in a fast-paced office environment. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10) years of administrative experience.
  • You have experience providing support to all levels in a fast-paced environment
  • You possess excellent computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook. Experience with PeopleSoft would be considered an asset.
  • You have proven experience with organizing and prioritizing a demanding workload while meeting deadlines
  • You have demonstrated communication skills with the ability to translate information into clear and concise objectives that can be communicated to different audiences within all levels of an organization
  • You have demonstrated experience with the coordination of projects specifically with research tracking and analysis
  • Experience in project management would be considered an asset
  • Experience in basic accounting would be considered an asset
  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work
