Who are we looking for
Were looking for a Road Asset Data Officer to work with our client Main Roads WA located in East Perth on a fixed term contract until June 2026.
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Accurately entering and validating complex road and transport-related data (eg crash records road asset data) into the Integrated Road Information Services (IRIS) system;
- Performing data quality assurance including identifying and correcting data anomalies;
- Reviewing and suggesting improvements to data-related processes liaising with technical stakeholders;
- Analysing technical reports and dashboards to track data integrity and performance.
What you will bring to the team:
- Experience in technical data entry data analysis or data management roles;
- Proven ability to interpret and work with engineering or technical documentation such as reports drawings and/or specifications;
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data quality and accuracy;
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with familiarity in Access or other data tools being highly regarded;
- A background or qualifications in GIS spatial sciences or related technical disciplines is highly advantageous but not required;
- Comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to clarify or validate data issues.

GHD has been appointed by Main Roads Western Australia to deliver a state-wide Operational Asset Management Support Service (AMSS) contract. Under this contract GHD provides centralised and regional support to assist Main Roads manage and maintain the State Road network.
